1 小时 28 分钟Welcome to the LSE Events Podcast by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Get ready to hear from some of the most influential international figures in the social sciences.
Okay, I will welcome everybody to the LSE, both online and in person.
We have an audience I would like to, this is a hybrid event,
so of the book, and I'm going to read all my notes out so that I do n't make a single mistake,
mediate the middle, moving with and beyond dichotomies.
My name is Ellen Halsper, and I'm a professor of social and digital inequalities here at the LSE
in the media communications department.
And I am of course very pleased to welcome.
Professor Bart Kamertz and Professor Meritan Robin Mansell, who will be given comments after Bart presents the book.
So Bart Kamertz probably does n't need any introduction,
but is the professor of politics and communication in the Department of Media and Communications and at the LSE,
of course.
He 's also the former chair of the Communication and Democracy section
of the European Communication and Research Association.
And of course, he is here today to present the book that I'm hoping you are all here for.
Robin Mansell is Professor Merita in the Department of Media and Communications at the LSE,
and her research focuses on media and communications regulation and policy,
digital governance, privacy and surveillance.
Her most recent books are Information Ecosystems and Troubled Democracy and The Need to Rename Tech.
