Following a week of panic over doomsday warnings about the power of artificial intelligence,
the leaders of some of the biggest AI companies have agreed
that the development of the technology needs to be slowed down so that it doesn't spiral out of control.
That comes after a stunning blog written by Anthropic CEO Dario Amadei,
which echoed many of the concerns that sparked panic in recent days after one of his employees
said there was a greater than 10% chance that AI systems could destroy civilization.
