One of my many theories, but the one I believe in most fervently,
is that the meritocracy as practiced in the United States is not a meritocracy.
The promise is the system is going to locate the smartest people.
In the 50 states, funnel them through a certain number of approved schools,
and then into a certain number of approved businesses or government,
and we're going to get good governance and a good country as a result.
And in fact, the opposite has happened.
The system is designed to exclude rather than include, exclude Christians, people with an independent cast of mind,
creativity, you know, an awakened spirit, all of them, genius, all of them are excluded in favor of.
Hyper-aggressive, selfish, small-minded, cruel, compliant people.
And that's how you wind up with a system where Ben Shapiro gets into Harvard.
