President Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is over.
He made those remarks today to the press at the NATO summit in the Turkish capital.
This comes after the U.S.
Struck Iranian military installations overnight.
NPR's Hadil al-Shaqi reports from Ankara.
Speaking to the press and standing alongside the Secretary General of NATO, President Trump said...
I think it's over.
I don't want to deal with anybody with this scum.
However, Trump did not rule out talks continuing to permanently end the war.
There was no immediate response from the Iranian government.
Ceasefire talks were meant to restart after the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral ends.
Trump ordered the U.S.
Attack against Iranian air defense systems and radars from the summit, and U.S.
Central Command said it was for Iranian attacks against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran did not claim responsibility for those attacks.
