Hello and welcome to Super Great Kids Stories.
Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.
Recommended for ages 5 to 105.
I'm Kim and I love stories.
Today, we continue our theme of animal tales with a story from Ivory Coast, which is a country in West Africa.
The story is called Tutu's Lost Shell and it 's told by storyteller Nomakwezi Becker,
who is new to Super Great Kids stories.
Hello, Super Great Kids.
How are you?
I hope you're happy.
I'm very happy because it 's April, which means it 's officially spring here in the UK
and everything is unfurling in the woods.
The trees are putting on their green dresses and the wild flowers are adding splashes of colour everywhere.
Oh, and as for the birds, they seem to be singing so energetically it's as if they think it's party time.
And my second reason to be cheerful is that we 've got a talented new storyteller
to introduce you to who comes from South Africa.
Her name is Noma Kwesi and she speaks Zulu, English and several other languages.
Her story, Tutu's Lost Shell, is from Ivory Coast,
a West African country which is one of the world's biggest producers of cocoa, which is used to make chocolate.
It also produces tip-top football players.
