Hello and welcome to Super Great Kids Stories.
Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.
Recommended for ages 5 to 105. I'm Kim and I love stories.
This week, we have a story from China.
It's called The Man Who Moved Mountains.
And it's told by me.
I chose it because it has sea and mountains in it.
Two things I love.
And it's got a character in it who is prepared to dream big.
How are you this week, Super Great Kids?
I'm very happy because it's summer and lots of people are away on holiday.
So I get the woods all to myself.
Today I saw a kingfisher,
which is a small dazzling bird with a bright blue back, an orangey tummy and a long shark.
It was particularly exciting because they're very shy birds and quite hard to spot.
And it's only the second time I've ever seen one.
The theme at the moment is nature and I'm reading a book about rivers
which is making me look more closely at the wildlife living around the river where I live.
I think I'm noticing wildlife a bit more because I'm looking harder
and concentrating on the moment instead of being distracted by little worries.
