I'm Nick Cordray, I'm a professor here at LSE,
and I'm very, very pleased to welcome Adele Zanette Walton and Indra Ray,
and all of you here in the theatre and our online audience.
Adele is a journalist reporting on the human impacts of digital technology and social media and the author
of a wonderful book, Logging Off, The Human Cost, of our digital world.
Adele is an online safety campaigner, regularly works with parliamentarians
and policy makers, families and parents to campaign for tech accountability.
She's a member of the Online Safety Act Network, a founding member of EU Youth Movement Control Alt-Reclaim,
which is how I heard of her, and she's co-founder of Logging Off Club,
which is a global movement promoting community and connection through phone-free events.
Indra is a social media presenter
who recently completed her undergraduate studies in psychological and behavioral science at LSE.
For the past three years alongside her degree she has worked as a content creator
at LSE producing over a hundred short and long-form videos for an audience of more than two million.
