In Japan, tens of thousands of people have gathered at the parliament building in Tokyo to protest the constitutional revision
spearheaded by Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi.
Similar rallies have recently taken place across the country as the ruling Liberal Democratic Party
pushes to amend Japan's post-war pacifist constitution.
Demonstrators on Sunday also opposed plans to deploy long-range missiles and ease restrictions on lethal weapons exports.
The protest that came after a Japanese warship transited the Taiwan Strait.
China says it had monitored the vessel throughout its transit,
accusing Japan of using this move to flex its military muscle and deliberately provoke trouble.
