单集简介 ...

What makes someone actually ready for a healthy relationship? In this episode, I sit down with relationship expert Quinlan Walther to talk about the communication habits that create connection—and the ones that quietly destroy it. We get into vulnerability, emotional maturity, asking for what you need instead of expecting someone to read your mind, and why curiosity may be one of the most attractive qualities you can bring into a relationship. We also talk about what happens when you're the only person trying to fix the relationship, and how to recognize when you're sacrificing your self-respect just to keep someone around. 单集文稿 ...

  • How do you know when you yourself are ready to be in a relationship?

  • I like to frame this in a funny way.

  • Have you ever heard of the saying, you shouldn't go grocery shopping when you're starving?

  • Are you familiar with that?

  • I am familiar with it, and I intimately.

  • Intimately, yes.

  • I've ordered some bad grocery store sushi.

  • When you're starving.

  • When I'm starving.

  • Yes.

  • That's always a bad call.

  • So this also applies to dating.

  • Okay.

  • It's not a great idea to go grocery shopping when you're starving because you choose the first thing that you see.

  • You choose the thing that will be immediately gratifying.

  • It looks the most exciting.

  • Maybe it's just sometimes the closest thing to you, right?

  • The same thing applies to dating and relationships as well.

  • When you go out and you start dating,

  • you want to have a pretty decent understanding of how you keep yourself figuratively fed or emotionally fed.
