  • Yesterday, a jury in Manchester convicted a man called Paul Quinn of a historic rape

  • that took place in Little Halton in Salford.

  • It was a horrific crime.

  • But it was also the same crime for which another man, Andrew Malkinson, was wrongfully convicted back in 2004.

  • Andrew spent 17 years in prison.

  • It 's one of the worst miscarriages of justice in British history,

  • and it was brought to national attention by The Sunday Times and our podcast series,
