Two big horror films, Obsession and Back Rooms, just smashed all box office expectations.
Back Rooms is A24's biggest opening in the studio's history, and Obsession made more than 300 times its small budget.
So much of their success has been driven by Gen Z. Gen Z is now the biggest movie-going demographic,
according to a couple of recent surveys by Fandango and Comscore.
And, not for nothing, both of these movies were directed by Gen Z filmmakers.
