Hello and welcome to Super Great Kids Stories.
Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.
Recommended for ages 5 to 105. I'm Kim and I love stories.
To fit our October theme of scary stories, this week Tianan Duyeb tells us a witchy tale from England.
The story is called The Elder Tree Witch.
It's a fairly scary story.
We give it two out of three screams.
Medium scary.
So, if scary witches are just not your thing, then maybe try listening to Tianan telling The Mouse Princess,
or Rebecca Le Maire telling The Princess and the Silph, or Peter Chan telling How the Elephant Got Its Trunk.
Are you having a good week, Super Great Kids?
Will you be going trick-or-treating next week?
My granddaughter Dorothy is going as strawberry.
Yes, I know, strawberries are not at all scary,
but she's too young to understand that and she really likes strawberries.
Hey ho, another reason I'm feeling cheery is that I love making soup.
And here in the UK, it's definitely the soupy season.
A season of mists and pumpkins and general soupiness.
In Spain, they have a great saying, which is a little soup makes a happy face.
So true.
