A government work report says China is targeting an economic growth of 4.5% to 5% this year and it will strive for better in real practice.
Main economic targets also include an increase in consumer price index of about 2%.
China has pledged to continue to implement a more proactive fiscal policy in 2026.
The work report has been submitted to the country's national top legislature for deliberation.
The 14th National People's Congress opened its fourth session on Thursday.
Delivering the report,
Chinese Premier Li Qiang said the country's economy has proved to be remarkably resilient over the past year.
The report says China will open wider to the outside world with efforts in expanding market access and opening up more areas,
especially in the services industry.
