  Okay, our friends.

• 00:03

So today we are reading another one of our stories from around the world collection.

• 00:11

This particular story is another trickster story by Gerald McDermott.

• 00:16

We've read a couple of his others and I think we still have another one or two more to go.

• 00:20

But this particular story is a trickster tale from the Amazon.

• 00:25

Now, you know where the Amazon is?

• 00:28

  Where is the Amazon?

• 00:33

Yeah, it's a giant river surrounded by a rainforest in South America.

• 00:42

So you would find a turtle in the Amazon.

• 00:46

And that's exactly where this guy is.

• 00:49

Are you ready to hear about what he gets into?

• 00:52

  I am too.

• 00:54

So today we will be reading about Zabuchi, the tortoise, the trickster tail from the Amazon.

• 01:09

Yeah, the way it's pronounced, it definitely has a Z sort of sound to it.

• 01:14

  Jabuti.

• 01:16

  Jabuti.

• 01:18

  Jabuti.

• 01:21

  Yeah.

• 01:22

And we're going to read it today.

• 01:23
