Tuesday's primaries offered few clear signs of what voters want heading into the midterm elections.
Minnesota Public Radio's Clay Masters reports on Wisconsin's closely watched Democratic primary for governor.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who is considered a more moderate candidate,
narrowly beat out a state representative, Francesca Hong, who identifies as a Democratic socialist.
That's according to an AP race call.
And this race was closely watched, of course,
to see if it would replicate the results of another swing state nearby Michigan,
where progressive Abdul El-Sayed recently won the Democratic primary there.
While that did not happen, this was a very close race.

Elsewhere, Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan won the Democratic nomination for U.S.
Senate.
In Connecticut, former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin defeated longtime Democratic Congressman John Larson.
And in South Carolina, Senator Darlene Graham advanced to a Republican
runoff for the seat held by her late brother, Lindsey Graham.
Wall Street will get the latest look at inflation in the U.S.
Economy when the Labor Department releases data on consumer prices this morning.
