First up...
You may have noticed something changing in your local supermarket.
The familiar brands are no longer the only stars of the show.
Instead, store brand products are everywhere.
From the entrance to the prime shelf space, retailers like Walmart
and Huma aren't just selling other people's products anymore.
They're fiercely competing with their own private labels.
It's not a temporary trend.
This is here to stay.
But a complete overhaul of a retail landscape that maybe hasn't changed in a very long time.
So why are supermarkets, after decades of acting like product bookshelves, suddenly obsessed with this?
Why are they becoming brand creators?
