Our first story: Chinese President Xi Jinping says China and Pakistan should accelerate the building
of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era,
deliver more outcomes from their all-weather cooperation, and contribute to regional peace and stability.
He made the remarks when meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Beijing.
President Xi says China stands ready to maintain high-level exchanges with Pakistan, strengthen strategic communication,
and steer the bilateral relationship in the right direction.
On his part, Prime Minister Sharif says Pakistan is ready to learn from China's governance experience,
deepen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and advance the building of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Sharif is on a four-day official visit to China, which began in the eastern city of Hangzhou.
