This is the final day of the G7 summit in France.
The leaders of several nations are expressing support for Ukraine.
NPR's Eleanor Beardsley reports.
Relations have been cordial, but there are underlying tensions between the transatlantic allies.
Yet they have come together to reaffirm their support for Ukraine.
They pointed out that Ukraine's resilience has managed to create new momentum on the battlefield and said in a statement
they would support that by accelerating delivery of air defense capacities, interceptors and long-range capabilities.
They also said that increased sanctions on Russia for the four European
members of the G7 ending Russia's war in Ukraine is a top priority.
President Trump has also said he's ready to focus on Ukraine again.
The two sides have very different views of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump has said he's a strong leader and an honest broker.
The Europeans consider him a murderous dictator and war criminal.
Results in Georgia, Republican voters pick Congressman Mike Collins for their U.S.
