  • Here's what we're covering.

  • The Supreme Court closed out its term yesterday with a major blow to President Trump's agenda,

  • blocking his administration's efforts to limit birthright citizenship.

  • Trump had issued an executive order on his very first day back in office

  • that would have prevented babies born to undocumented immigrants from automatically becoming citizens.

  • But in a 6-3 decision, the justices reaffirmed the long-held principle that nearly all children born on U.S.

  • Soil are Americans.

  • After the ruling, Trump took to social media to call the decision, quote, too bad for our country,

  • and tried to punt it to Congress, falsely claiming they could reverse it with legislation.

  • In all, this Supreme Court term involved decisions in nearly 60 cases.
