The Supreme Court has cleared the way for the Trump administration
to begin ending temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of immigrants.
For many, the next question is what happens when those protections expire?
NPR's Jimena Bustillo reports.
They need to either adjust their status, which is very limited ways of doing so, or they need to leave the country.
If they don't, they risk falling out of status and that could lead to an arrest, a detention or a deportation.

to court and seek to reinstate efforts to end temporary protected status for people from a number of countries.
