  • U.S. Central Command says its forces launched strikes against several Iranian military assets on Saturday.

  • Those assets included Iranian air defense sites, communication systems and drone storage facilities.

  • CENTCOM says the strikes were a direct response to an Iranian

  • drone attack on an oil tanker transiting near the Strait of Hormuz.

  • Bahrain has also accused Iran of targeting it with drones.
