  • that Ebola is spreading in the Democratic Republic of the Congo at a deeply alarming rate.

  • And in recognition of the scale of the problem...

  • The WHO's World Health Organization's Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus,

  • has travelled to Bunia in Congo at the heart of the outbreak.

  • It's an attempt to highlight the risks posed by this budibungio Ebola strain, which has already infected 1,000 people

  • and killed over 200. At a press conference in Bunia, the WHO Director General had this to say:

  • "Because the people of Ituri, the Kibus and all of DRC deserve to know that they're not." As we know,

  • DRC has faced Ebola before, 16 times, and has ended every outbreak, and this is the 17th.

  • That history gives me real confidence.

  • Well, the BBC's Emery Makomeno has been travelling with the WHO boss.
