Let us start in Iran, where Israel says it has killed Tehran's security chief Ali Larijani, one of the most senior figures in the Islamic Republic.
Iran has not confirmed his death, but Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made this televised statement.
This morning we eliminated Ali Larijani.
Ali Larijani is the boss of the Revolutionary Guards, which is a gang of gangsters that in practice run Iran.
Alongside him, we also eliminated the commander of the Basij, the helpers of the gangsters,
who spread terror in the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities against the population.
We are undermining this regime in the hope of giving the Iranian people an opportunity to remove it.
This will not happen all at once.
And it will not happen easily.
But if we persist, we will give them an opportunity to take their fate into their own hands.
Well, Ali Larijani was a close ally of the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of US-Israeli strikes on Iran
