Our first story.
China and the European Union have confirmed the establishment of China-EU trade and investment consultation mechanism.
Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao
and European Commissioner for Trade Maros Sefcovic held the first meeting of the framework in Brussels.
The two sides identified four initial work streams,
which include trade and investment balancing, export controls, intellectual property rights, and WTO reform.
They also agreed to establish a joint mechanism to exchange data, monitor trade flows,
and support technical work to improve transparency, enhance mutual trust, and manage trade frictions.
