It's also the first day of London Climate Action Week.
And so I'm really pleased to be here with the panel talking
about a topic that I see is absolutely central to both of those events.
I don't see how we can save the world.
I don't see how we can do successfully hold climate change without some changes to our food system.
And so it's a pleasure to be joined by a panel who in different
ways are researching possible visions of the future of our food system.
And in some cases are also actively trying to turn those visions into reality.
They are Chris Bryant from Bryant Research.
This is a think tank which uses social science to help alternative protein companies advance the protein transition.
Feiang Wang, research officer in psychology at my centre, the Jeremy Collar Centre for Animal Sentients here at the LSE.
Tara Garnett from the University of Oxford, director of Table.
Table explores visions for the future of food and provides a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge and dialogue.
And Anthony Warner, a chef and an author.
Author of many books, including perhaps most relevantly to this event,
ending hunger, the quest to feed the world without destroying it.
