Today's guest has built a career around stories,
first writing them herself and now bringing writers and readers together in conversation.
She 's been communications director at Radius Books, a non-profit publisher focused on art and culture,
and now she 's the executive director of the Santa Fe International Literary Festival in its fourth year.
Before all of that, she was an award-winning novelist known for witty,
sharply observed romantic fiction A Royal Pain, which was an NPR Best Book of 2012 and a USA Today Bestseller.
Megan Mowry, welcome to Meet the Writers.
Thank you so much, Georgina.
I'm so pleased to be here.
Me too.
We've been in correspondence for months and it's wonderful to finally meet you.
I've read your books.
I'm coming to your festival and it's just great to be face to face.
Absolutely.
Finally have this conversation.
So let's start at the beginning.
I need to know everything about you.
Where did you grow up?
What kind of world were you born into?
