  • Iran says a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is close, even as Tehran adds new demands for the United States.

  • The conditions include lifting sanctions, withdrawing U.S.

  • Forces from the region, and releasing frozen Iranian assets.

  • Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said the strait won't reopen

  • until the U.S., quote, corrects its behavior, according to Iranian state media.

  • Ending the war and, quote, aggression against Iran's allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen and Iraq.
