Chinese President Xi Jinping says China and Russia should advance their development
and revitalization through comprehensive strategic coordination of even higher quality.
During talks in Beijing, President Xi and Russian President Vladimir
Putin agreed to extend the Treaty of Good Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation.
On the Middle East, the Chinese president stressed
that an immediate ceasefire is the top priority and emphasized the importance of dialogue and negotiations.
Earlier, President Xi held a welcome ceremony outside the Great Hall of the People for the Russian president,
who is on a state visit to China.
