  • The death toll is rising in Nepal two days after catastrophic flooding struck the region.

  • At least 469 people are dead and more than 1,500 others are missing, including about 90 Americans.

  • NPR's Dia Hadid reports authorities are warning that a natural dam could give way, triggering even more flooding.

  • The waters receded from most places, leaving behind mud and debris.

  • But Santosh Pandey from the aid group Oxfam says one of the worst affected areas,

  • Raswa, is still only accessible by helicopter.

  • But because that area is largely inaccessible, it also means the death count is likely to rise further.

  • And now authorities are warning.

  • That there might be secondary floods because there's still an overflowing lake in the area where experts

  • said the first glacier collapsed, which blocked up the river valley and triggered these major floods.

  • A federal judge is weighing another effort to put President Trump's name back on the Kennedy Center in Washington,
