Hello and welcome to Super Great Kids Stories.
Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.
Recommended for ages 5 to 105. I'm Kim and I love stories.
This week, we have a fairy tale from Russia, the largest country in the world, which stretches across two continents.
The story is told by Nell Phoenix, who lives in London, and told the Bad Breath Lion and the Doubling Pot.
This story is called The Firebird.
It's a magical tale which we rate at two out of three screams.
Fairly scary because one of its characters is a mean, talking skeleton, which has magic powers.
I hope you're up for listening because it's a really good story.
But if skeletons are not your thing, then maybe have a listen to a Nancy and the Magic Yams or the Goanna
and the Fairies or the Ram in the Chili Patch.
I hope you're having a good week, Super Great Kids.
Here in the UK, we're enjoying a rather sunny autumn with golden sunshine
and lots of colourful leaves to crunch through.
I've been cat-sitting for my friend's cats, who are called Lily and Frankie.
Lily thinks she's a princess, and Frankie, well, he thinks he's a lion.
He was so pleased to see us that he brought us a present.
It was a little mouse.
Luckily, it was still alive.
Unluckily, we had to chase it all around the kitchen
