1 小时 27 分钟Welcome to the LSE events podcast by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Get ready to hear from some of the most influential international figures in the social sciences.
So thank you all for coming.
My name is Nick Stern.
I'm Professor of Economics here at LSE.
And I want to welcome you all on behalf of Environment Week,
the International Growth Centre and the Global School of Sustainability.
We're a great mixture of all those things, and very cheerfully so.
Now, the subject is the road to COP32, an African agenda for climate action and economic development.
And we have an outstanding panel here.
I won't introduce at any length.
I will introduce just a little bit in a moment.
And we have, at the beginning, the usual housekeeping.
We're not expecting a fire alarm, so if a fire alarm goes off,
get out of here and assemble in a responsible manner and assemble outside.
And do please turn off your, or put silent on your mobile phones.
So our panel is in the order of speaking.
Amali Amin, who's the managing director and head of climate diversity and advisory at the BII.
It's sort of our UK.
Anyway, Amali, you'll explain what it is.
