43 分钟This is how to be a better human.
I'm your host, Chris Duffy.
I'll be honest with you.
I'm in a little bit of a creative rut right now.
I feel like I have a lot to do every day, a lot of responsibilities, a lot of chores.
And when I do find myself with a free hour,
the last thing I want to do is write or create or make art.
Really, what I want to do is just sit and do nothing.
And that hasn't always been how I felt.
I've had other periods of my life where I have had a lot going on, but art has
felt like a really amazing release and a way to recharge and shake off the dust of the day.
But that's not really where I'm at right now.
Creative inspiration can feel like an elusive, mysterious thing.
Where does it come from?
How can we or should we harness it?
What do we do when it's not there?
I think that there's no one better to talk to about creativity than today's guest, Rishikesh Hirway.
He is a musician, an incredible musician.
He's also an incredible thinker about music who hosts the fantastic Song Exploder podcast,
where he interviews artists about how they put together some of their most iconic songs.
