He is, of course, one of the most successful songwriters of all time.
Ed Sheeran sold more than 120 million records and toured the world over.
Australia, India, Japan, his home nation Britain and he's currently performing in North America.
But it's politics in the Middle East which have derailed his current tour,
raising a bigger question about whether the pop star should be political.
It all began when the rapper Macklemore appeared on stage ahead of Sheeran
at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey 12 days ago.
