The spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry, Ismail Baqai, said the geographic coordinates
of a route where ships would pass through the Strait of Hormuz have been agreed upon by Iran and Oman.
Iranian officials said they have been in talks with Oman for three weeks now,
and Baqai said that as long as there were no disruptions from what he called,
quote, certain third parties, a joint statement between the two countries would be announced soon.
