Today, I am joined by Alex Lam, assistant professor at the College of AI Tsinghua University.
And Alex, I know you studied and worked in North America, but can you please also introduce yourself to your listeners?

I'm Alex Lam.
I grew up in Western Maryland in a town called Mount Airy in the United States.
I actually grew up on a dairy farm.
I did my undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University.
Then I spent a few years developing demand forecasting systems at Amazon.
And then I did my PhD in deep learning at the University of Montreal.
I spent a few years doing reinforcement learning research at Microsoft Research New York City.
