  • before they start a self-compassion practice now what i want you to know here is real resilience is built through repetitive

  • daily gentle consistent support this is n't support coming from other people while that 's wonderful

  • and exactly what we want we want to be the first line of defense when things get hard we want to be a safe place for ourselves

  • when we 're engaging in our anxiety recovery this practice is not about getting rid of anxiety it 's actually

  • quite the opposite It 's about changing our relationship with the discomfort that we feel,

  • the difficult emotions, the difficult times,

  • and so that we can move towards being our absolute biggest supporter and our biggest cheerleader.
