It is really my pleasure to introduce this event.
My name is Marion Dumas.
I'm an Associate Professor of Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute
for Climate Change and the Environment here at LSE.
I'm co-organizing this event with Jonathan Birch from the Department of Philosophy and the Director
of the Jeremy Kohler Center for Animal Sentience.
Co-hosted by the Global School of Sustainability.
Sustainability has now permeated every branch of the school, so we're all working together, which is great.
So this event will consist of a lecture by Professor Nicolette Reich first,
followed by a panel discussion with Professor Jonathan Birch, Professor Richard Bennett, and Dr. Ganga Sridhar.
It will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A, both with the online and in-person audience.
