2 分钟From the Free Press, this is Honestly, and I'm Barry Weiss.
I really miss saying those words.
It's good to be back with you and behind this mic.
It's been quite a year.
We've been busy breaking news, making sense of the news, running newsrooms,
and yes, sometimes even being in the news myself, only great headlines, of course.
And of course, cultivating the brilliant talent here at the Free Press.
I'm biased, but I think we have the smartest, most authoritative voices in the world now writing for us.
No, not just Nellie, although definitely Nellie,
but people like Neil Ferguson, Douglas Murray, Abigail Schreier, Coleman Hughes, Arthur Brooks, and so many more.
I hope you've been spending the past year reading them as I have.
But now, for the first time in almost a year, I'm so glad to say that I'm sitting
down myself to host a live free press event on October 1st in New York City.
And I'd love for you to be there with me.
Many of you will know the name Simon Sebag Montefiore.
He's a friend of the free press.
He writes for us sometimes, and you've certainly heard him on this show.
He's a renowned historian and the author of multiple worldwide bestsellers, including Jerusalem, the Romanovs, Stalin,
and to be published this month, The Cauldron, the Making of the Modern Middle East.
That will be the subject of our urgent conversation.
