Welcome back to Radiohead Space.
I'm your host, Dora Kamau.
Have you ever walked away from a conversation about the state of the world and felt your energy sink?
You started out engaged, curious, maybe even motivated.
Then the topics kept stacking.
More conflict, more uncertainty, more things that need fixing.
By the end, your body feels heavier and your mind lands on a hard conclusion.
What difference do my actions even make?
Not long ago, I was leaving a work conversation that started as a creative brainstorming session.
We were exchanging ideas, building possibilities, thinking ahead.
Then the conversation drifted.
Someone mentioned current events.
Soon we were talking about the world at large and all the places where people were hurting or struggling.
And you could feel the mood shift in the room.
Shoulders dropped.
Voices slowed.
The air felt dense.
As I walked out, I noticed a sentence form in my mind.
What's the point?
Nothing is really changing.
