I hope you're doing well and that you're ready to learn some more English phrasal verbs.
Today we're going to look at three phrasal verbs and one of them, I want to look at two different meanings of that one.
So a lot of phrasal verbs today.
The first one is come up with.
So come up with means to think of an idea or plan.
So for example, I could say he came up with a crazy scheme to make tons of money.
Here I'm saying he invented this idea.
He thought of this plan to make lots of money.
So that's come up with.
The next one is cool off.
When someone cools off, it means that they calm down from anger, excitement, or agitation.
So they had these emotions and then now they 're calming
down and now they are not feeling those emotions as intensely anymore.
So for example, I could say, let 's not discuss the subject again until you 've So in this case,
I'm saying that once the person calms down, once they cool off, we can discuss the subject calmly.
And the other phrasal verb is cover for.
So let me give you two definitions of this.

To do someone's job for them while they're absent.
