Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the country's youth
to align their personal ambitions with national development.
His remarks come in a letter to the younger generation as China marks the Youth Day on Monday.
He urged young people to contribute at the grassroots level,
including in technological innovation, rural revitalization,
and social services, highlighting the role of a confident and self-reliant younger generation.
The Chinese president also extended festive greetings to young people across the country.
