Iran fired missiles and drones at northern Israel following Israeli strikes on Hezbollah,
an Iran-backed militia, in Beirut, Lebanon's capital.
Iran had warned that an Israeli attack on Beirut would ignite a war across the Middle East.
In a statement, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a paramilitary force that controls the state,
said the operation would be the beginning of a full week of continuous strikes.
Mr. Trump insisted that raising interest rates would be the wrong thing to do after a stronger-than-expected
