When we think about China's urban transformation, we often picture skylines rising, megacities expanding,
and new infrastructure being built at scale.
But when it comes to the homes that people
actually live in, the latest national plan tells a bit of a different story.
Over the next five years, the focus is shifting inward from building more to improving what already exists.
So what is that actually going to look like in practice?
