In celebration of Latinx Heritage Month, embrace the beauty of your accent in this self-compassion meditation. Mindfulness and meditation teacher Criss Cuervo invites you to reflect on your history, heritage, and connection to your ancestors. How To Do This Practice: Find a Comfortable Position: Sit in a relaxed yet alert posture, either on a cushion or chair. Gently lower your gaze or close your eyes if that feels comfortable. Focus on Your Breath: Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Allow yourself to transition from your daily activities into this moment of reflection. Acknowledge Your Accent: Bring awareness to the way you speak, recognizing that your voice carries your history, culture, and personal journey. Repeat Self-Compassion Phrases: Silently or aloud, repeat affirmations such as, “my accent makes me unique,” “my accent carries my story,” “my accent connects me to my ancestors.” Place a Hand on Your Heart: If it feels right, gently place a hand on your heart, offering yourself warmth and kindness as you continue to breathe deeply. Close with Gratitude: Take a final deep breath, sending appreciation to yourself, your ancestors, and the uniqueness of your voice before gently opening your eyes. 单集文稿 ...

  • Winter gets all the new year, new me energy.

  • But what about summer intentions?

  • Maybe you hope to find a sense of wonder while it's warm outside.

  • Maybe you want to experience more joy or maybe even try a new hobby like birding.

  • I'm Chris Duffy, and on my podcast, How to Be a Better Human,

  • I interview experts for practical tips and insights that can help us all to be the best version of ourselves.

  • And we've decided to help maximize the energy of more sun and more vacation.

  • We are going to share an extra episode every week that will help us get closer to achieving our summer intentions.

  • Join us for honest, funny, and perspective-shifting conversations every Monday,

  • plus our bonus Summer Friday episodes every week on How to Be a Better Human, a podcast from TED.

  • One thing I've been wanting to solve in my home for a while is the constant pilot by the door.

  • Shoes, coats, bags, hats.

  • It always seemed like there was never quite enough space to keep everything organized.

  • So I was really excited to get their entryway storage piece from Wayfair.

  • It gives me a dedicated spot for shoes and coats,

  • and honestly, it made the whole area feel so much more functional and inviting.

  • I like shopping on Wayfair because there are so many options,

  • and the customer reviews and photos make it easier to feel confident about what you're bringing into your home.

  • They also have Wayfair verified products that are hand-vetted by product specialists for quality,

  • which is especially helpful when you're shopping for pieces you want to last.
