China and Indonesia have agreed to deepen cooperation in areas including energy, mineral resources,
artificial intelligence, and maritime affairs, and to begin formulating a five-year action plan for 2027-2031.
The two sides held a high-level 2-plus-2 ministerial meeting
in Jakarta with Foreign Minister Wang Yi heading the Chinese delegation.
Beijing and Jakarta also held their first conference of the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue Mechanism.
And in a meeting with China's foreign minister and defense minister,
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto called for closer strategic cooperation with China.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China is willing to help Indonesia
turn its resources into new drivers of economic development and accelerate industrialization and modernization.
He also called for joint efforts to contribute to regional peace and stability.
