Authorities in the U.K.
Say they have foiled a suspected terror plot.
A group of men were arrested near an air base the U.S.
Has used for attacks on Iran.
NPR's Lauren Frayer explains what happened.
A farmer who lives nearby called police in the middle
of the night to say she noticed three suspicious vans with masked men.
Police intercepted the vehicles, arrested five men on suspicion, they say, of explosives and terrorism offenses.
Police say an Iran link is just one of the possibilities they're investigating.
The government here has also accused Russia of plotting attacks on British soil.
But this past summer, Iran did threaten British bases.
And Pierre's Lauren Frayer reporting.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly traveled to Abu Dhabi this weekend
to meet with the leader of the United Arab Emirates.
That's according to a person briefed on the matter.
And Piers Daniel Estrin reports from Tel Aviv.
The person was not authorized to speak publicly and did not say what came out of Netanyahu's
meeting with UAE leader Mohammed bin Zayed.
The United Arab Emirates has not commented on the matter.
