The proposal comes nine months after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire was announced.
Palestinians in Gaza say the central question is whether
Trump can pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to follow through.

Teacher Ahmed al-Batsh says this is Trump's best chance to pressure Netanyahu into accepting a deal,
arguing the proposal already gives Netanyahu much of what he wants.
But displaced resident Mohammed Khairi says the hope quickly disappeared.
He says while politicians discuss a deal, the bombing has continued and an overnight strike destroyed his tent.
For 66-year-old Basma Sheikh Khalil, the proposal will mean little
unless it brings an end to the war and protects civilians from further suffering.
