The trade war between the U.S.
And Canada is entering a new phase.
Back in August, President Trump slapped 50% tariffs on a range of Canadian goods,
and now Canada, one of our closest trading partners, is fighting back.
Today, counter-tariffs, ranging from 15% to 50%, kick in on imports from the United States.
And that'll affect everything from steel to dairy products to electronics.
And so we felt like this was an appropriate time to check in with a friend of the show, Paul Haverschrud.
He hosts a podcast called Cost of Living, which is a show about money and economics from the CBC.
And the CBC, for those who don't know, is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, sort of like a NPR cousin to the north.
So I guess in a way, Paul, we're practically related.
