ABC and its parent company Disney filed a lawsuit against the FCC yesterday to block its regulatory threats—
an escalation in the media company's long-running feud with the President.
The FCC chair, Brendan Carr, has ordered an early review into ABC's broadcast license,
even though it's not up for renewal.
ABC says it poses an existential threat to its operations,
and Disney called their actions an extraordinary assault on free speech.
The President has gone after ABC repeatedly.

"For its news coverage, it's gone after it for what's appeared on the daytime talk show The View,
some of whose hosts have been pretty acerbic about the President and his return to power.
And he's gone particularly after late-night comic and satirist Jimmy Kimmel."
