1 小时 31 分钟Welcome to the LSE events podcast by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Get ready to hear from some of the most influential international figures in the social sciences.
We can begin.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to LSE for this evening's launch of the book,
Greek Prime Ministers in the Eye of the Storm,
Crisis Management and Institutional Change, hosted by the Hellenic Observatory at LSE.
My name is Yaprak Gürsoy and I'm Professor of European Politics at the European Institute.
Let me first briefly introduce the speakers to you in the order that they are going to speak tonight.
First, we will hear from professors Kevin Featherstone and Dimitris Papadimitriou,
who will be presenting their co-authored book, which was published last year by the Oxford University Press.
Kevin Featherstone is emeritus professor at the European Institute and a research affiliate at the Hellenic Observatory.
Before his retirement, and I must add, sadly, he was the director of the Hellenic Observatory for 22 years.
And he served as the head of the European Institute, my department, intermittently for seven years.
Dimitris Popadumitriou is professor of political science at the University of Manchester,
where he also serves as the vice dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
He was the director of the Manchester Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for around 10-11 years until 2022,
and he is the co-editor of the university's book series on European politics.
After Kevin and Dimitris' presentations of the book, we will hear from two speakers who will discuss the book.
The first discussant will be Stella Ladi, who is Professor in Public Policy at Queen Mary University
in London and Pantheon University in Athens.
